Harvest Classic Rally benefits Candlelighters....

Harvest Classic 2009

European & Vintage Motorcycle Rally
October 23 & 24, 2009

In conjunction with the rally team, RIDE TEXAS® Magazine auctioned a 1997 Ducati 748 Monoposto on eBay and it went for $4501. All of this money (after auction expenses) benefits the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation! A big thanks to Val and Miguel for this amazing act of generosity. Go to RIDE TEXAS® Magazine website for more info.

Longtime Platinum sponsor Mike Pawlowski restored and donated a really cool CZ 150cc streetbike for us to raffle off this year. Buy lots of tickets, because you won't want to miss out on a chance to win this super cool motorcycle.

Randy Voet donated his custom Suzuki GS1000E to the rally, and we'll be auctioning it off this year. This bike looks and runs great.

Register on site at the event

The Harvest Classic is held each fall in scenic Luckenbach, Texas. Organized by Central Texas Motorcycle Charities to raise money for Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation. Anyone who loves riding, owning, and looking at classic and European motorcycles and scooters or having a great time will love the Harvest Classic.

Thanks to all the folks who come out and our incredible sponsors, who make this event such a huge success—we’ve donated over $145,000 in the last six years! For more info: www.harvestclassic.org.

Riven Rock Ranch News

News Flash! The Terrace Grill...

News Flash! The Terrace Grill...The Terrace Grill & our Native Plant Garden Center has opened with rave reviews, and progress continues on the green house & garden center as we are still selecting plants for pots as well as for planting. In September we opened on Fridays through Sundays for lunch from 11:30 'til 2:00 & dinner from 5:30 'til 9:00. When we first opened, we were concerned our dining guests would worry about the outdoor summer heat & we solved that problem with a cooling stream, fans & plenty of shade. Now we worry about the cold! The picture shows our Sunday evening, 10/09, diners eating in comfort with heaters--the temperature was about 60 degrees. Within the next two weeks we will also have clear plastic roll downs which will shield us from the wind. Please join us for a delicious dining experience!

Reservations are suggested, please call the main ranch number: 830-995-4045.

Letting you know...

The Terrace Grill will be closed for dinner only on Saturday, October 17th for a private event which was scheduled many months ago. We are sorry for this inconvenience and hope that you can come to lunch on Saturday, or lunch or dinner on either Friday the 16th, or Sunday the 18th. This sort of thing will happen only on a rare occasion & if possible, I will let you know in advance each time.

Thanks for your understanding and we hope to see you at Riven Rock Ranch & The Terrace Grill very soon!

Elaine

Thanksgiving Dinner at the Ranch

Thanksgiving Dinner at the RanchOur Holiday Dinners are always very special "family & friends" events here at the ranch. We are in the midst of planning another fabulous Thanksgiving dinner for your relaxation and enjoyment. We will let you know as plans develop how we're going to present it this year, whether or not it will be a buffet, as it has been in the past, or something different. But, we ARE going to have Thanksgiving Dinner, probably during two different time frames, earlier in the day around noon & later in the early evening. It is not too early to consider reserving space if you know what you want to do--we have been sold out each year.
